Singjay Vegas tore through Trinidad like a Raging Bull as he did numerous shows with hot soca artiste Machel Mantano. Rapping with Vegas from Trinidad he says “it is real crazy vibes whenever Machel calls me up on the stage.”
So far Vegas has done over eight shows and the responses are all the same – fans going crazy with excitement and it’s pandemonium when he draws for songs such as ‘Dance With You’, ‘Tamborine’, ‘Geenie Wine’ and the biggest song to date for him ‘Hot Wuck’ remix done by one of Trinidad’s biggest producer Shel Shoc.
Last Monday (February 20) and Tuesday (Feb 21) Vegas took the streets in the road march and it was something else.
Another song that Vegas has mashing up the place in Trinidad is Glory Days/Raging Bull a song that will be featured prominent during world cup cricket.
According to Vegas it all came about when he went into a meeting with CVM. “They wanted me to do something with Machel for the World Cup . But I just told them I needed to do something with that really reflects us.”
And what better way to show that than in the dance culture. So in no time Vegas linked Over Mars and the dancers were called and with CVM’s talent Richard Delapena the video for the song was shot.
Vegas returns to the island where he is expected to be one of the featured performers on Follow Di Arrow this Saturday at the James Bond Beach in St. Mary.
