Truckback Releases Erup Summer 2009 EP

Truckback Records is proud to announce the release of a unique Erup Summer 2009 Digital EP, now available on Itunes and featuring a diverse sampling from the crossover artist. Starting with the breakthrough hit “Click My Finger” on the critically acclaimed Gearbox Riddim the 2009 Erup EP includes the latest Truckback riddims to take over the dance: The Dashboard Riddim (“Mek Noise”) and “Ignorancy” on the Ole Axle Riddim. This special 2009 Erup EP concludes with the never before released single, “Leave Dem”.

Erup has been dominating the news lately-first with a Gen F feature in the current issue of The Fader Magazine which hails Erup as an artist who can “conjure the days when Volcano Soundsystem rules the set and 80s pioneers like Volcano’s Nitty Gritty struck the perfect balance between lazy singing and melodic rapping”. Erup followed up the crossover recognition with an international video launch for his Billboard charting hit, “Click My Finger”. (Click here to watch the video.) The Ras Tingle directed video, featuring cameos from the deejay Konshens and the styling of dancer Chi Ching Ching is now all over BET Soul and Tempo.

Erup is currently in the studio working on new projects with Truckback Records. “Music is life,” says Erup. “I’m going to do whatever it takes to make something happen with music, any type of music, so that my life and other people’s lives can be better.”

Look for Erup’s R&B-tinged “Fight” on Truckback’s Sparkplug Riddim to become a summer hit as well as innovative crossover projects currently in the works that aim to surprise.
