Steel Pulse Announces “Reggae Against Racism” World Tour 2026

March 20, 2026

Birmingham, England-based reggae legends Steel Pulse have announced their “Reggae Against Racism” World Tour 2026, bringing their four-decade tradition of socially conscious music to stages across North America, Europe, and the Caribbean. The tour, announced on March 20, takes its name from the historical Rock Against Racism movement that Steel Pulse was closely associated with in the late 1970s.

Formed in Handsworth, Birmingham in 1975, Steel Pulse is widely regarded as one of the greatest reggae bands outside of Jamaica, with a catalog that includes the landmark album Handsworth Revolution and decades of Grammy-recognized recordings. Their politically charged, socially conscious lyricism has lost none of its urgency — if anything, the global political climate of 2026 makes their message more relevant than ever.

The tour follows their acclaimed collaboration with producer Clive Hunt on “So Lonely,” released earlier in 2026, and is expected to include career-spanning material alongside new recordings that address current social justice themes.
