THE LOCATION. The Calaveras County Fairgrounds is nestled in the Sierra
Nevada foothills, just outside the small town of Angels Camp. Also known as
Frogtown, the spot got its fame from the Mark Twain story “The Jumping Frog
of Calaveras County.” With ample surrounding land for camping, the Fairgrounds lends
itself perfectly to the large festival setting. Inside the gates a lush, tree studded garden greets
the public. The Festival Village with its array of diverse wares is situated in the midst of this
garden, its focal point the Village Stage, which hosts many of the world music acts, dance
groups and innovative activities. The Valley (Main) Stage aims up a vast hillside, where
festivalgoers dance day and night. The Dance Hall is the venue for the famous
late-night shows, which go until 3am, featuring top sound systems / selectors and
vocalists.

Known nationwide and internationally for its innovative artist lineups,
Sierra Nevada consistently brings together the best of reggae and world
music. After ten memorable years, Epiphany Artists invites all to gather, in the
name of Peace, for SNWMF 2004!
