Starlight Beats and Breaks emerged on the urban/dance music scene in 2001. It was formed in Houston, Texas by members of The Rebel Crew, one of the city's longest running urban music sound collectives. (1986-present). The Rebel Crew sound has been described by popular magazines as: <P> "...futuristic hip-hop that is as chewy and delicious as anything fresh out of the oven...."(XLR8R Magazine), <P> "...a raucous blend of thumping break-beats, wired electro, dub-heavy bottom-end and Latino punk rock, all delivered with healthy amounts of cocky hip-hop attitude..."(DJ Magazine), <P> and "...Stunningly original hip-hoppery from the Lone Star State..."(Update Magazine). <P> Currently, Starlight has two releases out nationwide, "The Sweet Spot","Traxx from da Waxx Vol.1" and the third release set to hit the streets June 2005. This label's foundation is built into the fabric of the local and international urban communities.
