Beatville

Beatville Records is a DC based label dedicated to bringing music lovers the best in pop, ska, dub, rockabilly, indie and straight up rock and roll. Originally launched to document the bourgeoning ska-scene, we made our start back in 1997 and released records by the ground breaking Eastern Standard Time and the pioneering Bim Skala Bim. As we grew in size and notoriety we set our sights on expanding our roster to include more of the music that we love. To this end we signed the hardest working band in rockabilly, Rocket350. We then added prime slabs by power-poppers Anne Summers, Long Beach genre mixers Bargain Music and adventurous indie rock from Polaris Mine. Each of these records was barraged with critical acclaim. We tell you all of this because it speaks to our deepest belief as an indie label: Our bands kick ass. We don't put out crap and we stand behind our bands 'til the day they die and bilk us for all the dough we've got
