Born Marvin Clarke on December 15th 1982: Dancehall artiste WASP burst on the scenes with an incredible drive to make it big in the Dancehall Industry. An excellent songwriter and crafty DJ filled with fresh and creative ideas: WASP is eager to show off his creativeness to the new generation of both hip-hop and dancehall fans worldwide. His main goal is to top the International charts and to play an integral part in making the music a permanent staple on a worldwide market.WASP first realized he wanted to pursue music as a career while he was still in high school and after copping the grand prize of the Chicken Supreme (now Island Grill) talent contest back in 1994. This was where he got his stage name WASP: as his friends claimed he gave a hot and wassy\ performance. In 1996 his focus was to perform on as many stage shows as possible as well as getting his music to as many DJs/selectors as he possibly could. WASP then changed focus to producers and recorded his first single in collaboration with Dancehall artiste Jagwa at the Mixing Lab studios. He also did collaboration with popular Dancehall artiste Spragga Benz entitled \"\""Best A Dem\""\"": a single which earned him more stripes in the streets as his journey continued.Like most young Dancehall artists: WASP had his supporters and a strong contingency of young talented individuals like himself with big dreams to excel in the music business. He had his own label called Park to Park Entertainment and teamed up with Throwback Entertainment and \""\""Dmoneyy\""\"" of Dbeatzz Records who first heard of him through his sister to create a mix tape entitled \""\""The Buzz\""\"". The mix hit the streets January 2007 in Kingston and Miami: Florida and received an impressive feedback from radio DJs: sound system selectors and fans alike. So impressed was Bobby Chin of Black Chiney with the music by this artiste: he immediately recorded a single entitled \""\""Buss De Place\""\"". The song got heavy rotation on radio and signaled the potential for a hit and so WASP and Throwback Entertainment decided that a music video was necessary. The video also did well and caught the eyes of ace producer Don Corleone: who immediately sent for the artiste of whom he thinks is a potential star. WASP recorded \""\""Step To Dem\""\"" on Don Corleone\""\""s \""\""Atmosphere\""\"" rhythm which also featured the likes of Sean Paul: Vybz Kartel: Munga Honourable: Assassin and many more. After that: he recorded his first single on the Don Corleone Label: entitled \""\""All These Things\""\"" and went on to record other tracks such as: \""\""A No Man\""\"": \""\""Nuh Hold Back Nutten\""\"" and \""\""Deh Deh Wid\""\"": a collaboration with Don Corleone himself.Accomplishments:In 2009: WASP recorded another hit single titled \""\""Unfair (Officer)\""\"" which was produced by Dameon Gayle from Warrior Music. This new single has been climbing up on various Reggae charts: ripping the airwaves: and not to mention: creating the buzz in the streets. WASP has performed on major events such as STING: Fully Loaded and Reggae In The Valley: all to thunderous applauses. He has also earned the respect of all the prominent radio disc jocks on the local scenes: while working on getting more recognition on the international scene. So: from here on: this DJ will continue to buzzzz!!! himself to stardom.\""\""\"""""
