The Suspects

The Suspects are a three-piece white-boy reggae band out of Oklahoma City whose stylings are reminescent of the fore-fathers of their genre including roots reggae artists Dennis Brown and Bob Marley- and more modern reggae bands such as Sublime and Slightly Stoopid. Their music has an up-beat party vibe to it and listeners are encouraged to feel the groove and take it in. Frontman Ron Wallace is a kick-ass vocalist and guitar player: and has been the solid force behind the Suspects since day one. Drummer Phil Martin is a drumming veteran who has been playing the drums for over a decade: and works with bassist Brent West to provide the solid rhythm section to which Ronnie lays down his reggae stylings. Brent has been with the Suspects for about 14 months now: and he and Ron constantly work together to come up with riffs and melodys as well as vocals. The boys have about 20 some odd original tunes (written since Brent joined) and are showing no signs of slowing down their songwriting.
