This multi-cultural ensemble is as diverse and as eclectic as the community of the Bay Area. During the last 4 years: The People have become one of the most popular live-music acts in the San Francisco Bay Area: playing in more than 350 shows during that time. They have performed at numerous major venues from San Francisco to Los Angeles: including the Great American Music Hall: Slims: Club Vinyl: the VIPER ROOM: Ashkenaz and the Knitting Factory. Their popularity and showmanship have found them sharing bills with well known major recording artists such as most recently DIGITAL UNDERGROUND as well as George Clinton and The P-Funk All Stars : Coolio: Pato Banton: and Pete Escovedo .
