Shaneil Watson a.k.a. Teflon is another of the â??Fire-Brandâ?? Jamaican artists with lyrics that cut deep into the social ills of the society.

Fate has dished Teflon his share of adversity and he is by no means daunted by it, instead he seeks refuge in his music. Born on February 15th in 1985 Telfon lost his mother a year later in a most indignant way.

Destined to do music, Teflon started to play two musical instruments, the Congo Drums and the Recorder at a very early age. While in high school he was leader of a group that was disbanded after a while, but he continued to pursue a solo career in music by frequently visiting recording studios in and around Ocho Rios. His talent was quickly recognized by producers who decided to recorded him, and his early recordings received great responses from radio DJs. These include â??Bless Me Jah, â??Hold On to Jahâ??, â??Mamaâ??, â??Jah Loveâ?? and â??Mr. Big Manâ??.

Teflon holds on to the Rastafarian faith for fulfillment and spiritual renewal. He admires, Capleton, Sizzla and Buju Banton and so far he has shared the stage with all of them. A commanding voice, a humble and patient personality, and an industrious and enterprising attitude sums up Teflon. He brings his real life experiences to the music, as he believes that as an artist you must be connected to your audience.

Teflon stands on the threshold of the Jamaican music scene waiting to unleash his musical powers.
