<p>Steve Knight was born in Jamaica and from an early age Steve was known to be heading for stardom. His peers like <a href="http://www.bigupradio.com/artistDetail.jsp?aid=24">Sugar Minott</a>, <a href="artistDetail.jsp?aid=945">Dean Fraser</a>, <a href="http://www.bigupradio.com/artistDetail.jsp?aid=1825">Pad Anthony</a> and <a href="http://www.bigupradio.com/artistDetail.jsp?aid=272">Triston Palmer</a> also new Steve would one day share the stage of stardom with them, as they all grew up and went to the same school. Steve's big break came when he was in his early teens, Steve was offered the microphone at a local event by the ever-famous ” Dj Ringo” and the world has been pinning for Steve's velvet voice since. </p>
<p>Steve's success at local events and stage show's grew him attention from many in the industry and Steve was quickly snapped up by one of the leading record producers in the 80's, his label was called<em> “The Witty Label”</em>. Steve's first record was <em>“Bad Company”</em>. His second was<em> “Girl I love You” </em>This was now the signature of Steve Knight, <em>“A Ladies Man”. </em></p>
<p>The leading label in Jamaica, <a href="http://www.bigupradio.com/labelDetail.jsp?lid=1539">Channel One</a>, approached Steve. This was the opening door for Steve's international career. Steve's album <em>“Orphan Child”</em> was such a hit that “Sony's” then record label “Sony Tackien” licensed this album and Steve received two number one hits. Steve was in hot demand and his catalogue of number one songs and famous works with top producers, had Steve touring countries far and wide. Steve's Jewel performance was his performance in front of a 60,000 crowd in Osaki, at the “Japan Reggae Sunplash” </p>
<p>Steve had a near death accident in the mid 90's when he was run over by a car, whilst riding his motorbike. This was a devastation to the industry and Steve's career, as Steve was not thought to make it through. God willing and with prayers around the world from adoring fans, Steve was blessed to survive and carry on his career where he left off. </p>
<p>Steve Knight's international fame has brought him to his new recording label, <a href="http://www.bigupradio.com/labelDetail.jsp?lid=165">Explorer Recording</a>. A Canadian based company, residing in greater Toronto. Steve's first single release with Explorer was “Greener” and Steve quickly followed that hit with his new album <em>“Steve Knight, Gives A Lot Of Love”</em> Steve's smooth vocals and sweet words is <em>“just what the doctor ordered”</em> for any lady in love and it shows, by the amount of female fans that has followed Steve's career. </p>
<p>Steve was invited and attended 2001 “Sting” stage show in Jamaica. Steve has just finished a seven week tour in East Africa and the Indian Ocean. And is about to embark on a 7 day tour of South Africa. Steve's Song<em> “Bad Day”</em> is featured on a charity album for the <em>“Shriners” </em></p>
<p>With his new album due to be released in 2003, Steve Knight is living up to his given name. A Knight is someone who against all odds, will always shine above the rest. <br>
