Roots Rockers

Roots Rockers is a crew consisting of four people: Uwe Kaa: singer and deejay: Andybee: producer: sound engineer and one of the best regarded dubplate and mastering cutter in Europe: Doc Holiday: selecta: and Jazzus: who is responsible for the quality control and spinning the wheels of steel as well. Roots Rockers Sound was founded in 1998- Uwe Kaa and Doc Holiday sold thousands of mixtapes via the: by now shut down: label Eimsbush Entertainment and are one of the well known and most booked sound-systems in Germany. They play all night till daylight and their box is fully loaded with dubplates: rare tunes: and exclusive remixes. In 2005 they won the Munich 45 clash. An essential part of the soundsystem´s set is the tunes written and performed by Uwe Kaa. He has run Roots Rockers Live: together with Andybee: since 2000. They have released five singles on their own record label Roots Rockers Music plus some cuts on the riddims performed by internationally well known artists and two maxi-singles and an album on Chet Records/Sony Music Germany. All their instrumentals are produced by themselves (or cooperating producers) in their own studio and cut on dubplate by Andybee. They perform in the classic sound-system style with a selecta spinning the dubs and a vocalist on the mic. Shows: backed by a live riddim section: is available upon request. The Roots Rockers Crew plays about 70 shows per year all over Germany: Switzerland and Austria.
