Prophecy

<p>Prophecy born Rohan Brown in a little district called Wilmington, southwest of the capital of St. Thomas, Jamaica. Prophecy attended Morant Bay All Age School; he then went on to Seaforth High School in St. Thomas.<em> 'My morals and principles, however, comes from the Seventh day Adventist church' </em>which he and his family attended, Prophecy, said in a recent interview. </p>
<p>In 1996 Prophecy entered the J.C.D.C. national song festival, with a song he wrote entitled 'Higher Ground', where he was one of the top ten finalist. It was at this time, he was introduced to the world renowned '<a href="http://www.bigupradio.com/artistDetail.jsp?aid=2504">Sir Coxsone Dodd</a>' of the <a href="http://www.bigupradio.com/labelDetail.jsp?lid=75">Studio One</a> Label, where he did a series of songs. Through his musical friendship with his childhood friend Marlon Decordova, other wise know as 'Peppa', who co-writes and does back-up vocals, they did a few independent productions and as a result, it was evident that their talent had captivated the hearts of people across Jamaica. One such person was Mr. Delroy Nevin, aka 'worm', who is a producer and is currently directing the musical career of Prophecy. </p>
<p>Prophecy has two singles <em>'Jah Alone'</em> and <em>'Let Righteousness Reign'</em> for <a href="http://www.bigupradio.com/labelDetail.jsp?lid=165">Explorer Recording</a> that is base in Canada. Other recording to his credits include<em> 'Single Woman'</em> on the Rolling Records Label; which is a subsidiary of <a href="http://www.bigupradio.com/artistDetail.jsp?aid=2615">Full Vibes</a>, and<em> 'Business as Usual'</em> produce by Mikey Bennett of Grafton Records. </p>
<p>2002 was the break through for 'Prophecy'. He was a part of the Ekasi Reggae Sun Splash Tour in Africa; which also featured <a href="http://www.bigupradio.com/artistDetail.jsp?aid=315">Chaka Demus & Pliers</a>, <a href="http://www.bigupradio.com/artistDetail.jsp?aid=360">Morgan Heritage</a> and <a href="http://www.bigupradio.com/artistDetail.jsp?aid=2615">Full Vibes</a>. </p>
<p><em>'Canada is like home away from home for me'</em> explained 'Prophecy' in a radio interview on CHRY 105.5 FM in Toronto. </p>
<p>Prophecy is currently in the Explorer Studio's putting the finial touches to his debut album </p>
<p>Which is slated to be in stores in summer 2004. </p>
