Gary Johnson was raised in a little town called St. James in Montego Bay where he attended Maldon High School. While he was a student he discovered his talent and love for singing and performing. Through his high school he was entered in a contest run by the Jamaican Cultural Development Program and took first prize. After winning the prize he begun to pursue a full time career in music.
