Levi&rsquo-s Father: from his early teens was a band leader who grew into an accomplished and well respected singer: song-writer: producer: responsible for many hits performed by himself as well as other local artists.From Birth: Levi was therefore exposed to music and was always surrounded by&nbsp- the country&rsquo-s most prominent musicians.When Levi was just 18 yrs old he penned his&nbsp- first song but being unsure of his talent did not turn to his father for guidance and as fate had it: Nappy passed away two months later in Dec of 1993.In his quiet determination: Levi pushed ahead and while living in Florida had a short stint with a local band called &ldquo-Dread: Gold and Green&rdquo-. Some time after: in late 96 he returned to Trinidad and performed at local reggae concerts opening for acts such as Capleton: Anthony B: Jah Cure: Jr. Kelly: Warrior King:Glen Washington and Sugar Minott to name a few.Levi started listening&nbsp- again to his father&rsquo-s music and was further inspired to do a remake of one of his father&rsquo-s most popular and well known songs: &ldquo-Ole Time Days&rdquo-. Right after: he recorded &ldquo-Music of My Land&rdquo-. Which was his soca debut. The song received considerable airplay in the Caribbean and became increasingly popular over the Carnival season of 2005..The song&rsquo-s success secured several appearances at shows and fetes at Carnival 2005: including a great performance as a special guest at Trinidad and Tobago&rsquo-s world known artist David Rudder&rsquo-s concert. Levi Myaz is a versatile and talented singer: songwriter who continues to be a bright and shining star on the horizon.
