King Melody

Born in Port Antonio Jamaica 1954. Migrated to the UK 1965 and almost immediately got involved with music, started playing sound system professionally aged 14 and being involved with almost every sound system to come out of Birmingham prior to setting up Amhara band in 1978 providing backing for on Sugar Minott on his initial European tour. Over the next decade worked with the likes of Jackie Mittoo, Freddie Mckay, Cedric Brooks and M.R.R. to name a few. Set up KM recording studio and sound system 1988.
