Rhythms escaping my mind, a line from one of her songs and just the right phrase to describe the frequency with which this singer/songwriter creates. It’s as if her mind is perpetually exploding with songs, writing from experiences and pulsing with rhythm. Keishera J has written close to 80 songs and counting. Her music can be compared to Jill Scott, Angie Stone’s with a dash of Diana King and a drizzle of Sade but this sexy 5’11" Jamaican born singer is in a class all her own.

Arriving in Brooklyn with her family at age twelve, by age 16 Keishera had left home and was living on her own. Not yet focused on music, she was working as a model and a waitress to keep food on her table. She has modeled in dozens of fashion shows, has beauty layouts in Fashion magazines like Essence, Heart and Soul, Sisters in Style to name a few and an early campaign for Iman Cosmetics. They however, didn’t always flow; faced with tough times Keishera began to comfort herself by singing and writing songs about her life. "I believe that I was born to sing," says the 25-year-old songstress, whose early songs were about loneliness, finding a home and searching for love. Her music has since evolved into a sultry, soulful, R&B, Reggae fusion with Hip-hop style beats. Her songs drip with sex appeal and incorporate all the parts of her musical and life experiences. "I feel like I have a lot to offer the world through my music," says the young singer whose resilience has won her the title "Super Keishera", from her close friends. She is described as a "loyal friend who would give you the shirt off her back... literally". Growing up in Jamaica listening to her favorite soul divas Anita Baker, Tina Turner, Aretha Franklin, Chaka Khan, and Sade to name a few, the then Keisha James honed her performance skills while singing in church and local concerts. This practice proved to be invaluable, as she grew more and more comfortable in front of an audience she would later put together her own band and perform at several famous New York venues. This girl has done it all.

Born under Sagittarius, this free spirit embodies all the great characteristics of her zodiac sign - power, vitality, insatiable to travel and reinvent herself. On her recent trip to Europe, she not only blessed venues like Tangia and Wax in Paris, 10 Rooms in London, she also had the opportunity to work with Parisian producer Igal, and London producer Dennis Charles.
