Daddy Axe

Axe brings the next level in Dancehall/hip-hop. Growing up in the Bay Area this Sicilian-Latin has been attending Reggae- on the-River for most of the twenty years and in 1992 his career was started when his college football team enlisted him in a battle of the bands at a 4th of July Celebration that put him in front of fifteen thousand people in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota. After taking first place among 20 performers, the fire was started for the AXE. He went on with a very successful pro football career out of college to play in the NFL Europe. In Europe, the Axe made a name for himself playing Live Shows in Clubs of the Reggae/Garage section in downtown London, England. Axe also played and had a successful stretch of live shows in five different cities across Italy.

Now Axe is back home in the Bay where he grew up playing his music after retiring from a 6 year football career. Now Axe can perform his music Fulltime around the World. He is going to Release his Debut album Shining In The Shade sometime this Summer. Currently, Axe has just collaborated on a song with Rankin’ Scroo (International Reggae Artist), “Ragga Muffin Soldiers.” Axe has created Gypsea Lion Entertainment. The Company has successfully been able to sell out small venues locally in the Bay Area, where he continues to create a strong and growing following for his music that combines the energy and culture of Dancehall Reggae and the underground sound of Hip-Hop. Recently playing the Summer Arts and Music Festival in Humboldt county, Headlining at 5pm in front of 10,000 spectators, the audience cheered for an encore!!! Axe has very much a passion for the music that comes from the fire in his soul that has been passed down to him from his family roots which are Sicily, Italy from his father, and Argentina from his mother. The song “Ragga Muffin Soldiers explains a lot about the Axe. He is a warrior for the good side in the war of Good and Evil.
