Cherine Anderson has starred in two of Jamaica&rsquo-s most successful films- Dancehall Queen and One Love. She has written and recorded with respected producers and musicians including Sly &amp- Robbie: Sting: Wyclef Jean: Bootsy Collins: Jimmy Cliff: and graduated with honors from the prestigious Middlebury College with a Bachelor of Arts in Film and Music and a minor in Japanese Language and Literature. Never one to pass up the opportunity to work on her craft and knowledge of the industry: Cherine spent many of her college summers interning at companies including MTV Networks: Interscope Records and the Chris Blackwell owned Palm Pictures and Palm Records. These days Cherine is focusing her attention on writing music and collaborating with a team including Sly &amp- Robbie: David Norland (Madonna: Janet Jackson: Dallas Austin): JeekyMan (Lil Kim): as well as young Jamaican producers such as Fateyes and Michael Jarret (Renaissance Crew). With radio stations in Jamaica already playing her recently released songs &ldquo-Good Love&rdquo- which was done on the same riddim as Jimmy Riley&rsquo-s smash hits &ldquo-Love and Devotion&rdquo-: Cherine looks poised to make a serious impact in the Jamaican market. The up-tempo &nbsp-&ldquo-Cookie&rdquo- &nbsp-shows Anderson&rsquo-s diversity and ability as a songwriter to create a song that can inspire and entertain: and could be very popular among younger audiences . According to Anderson &ldquo-The world needs to hear more reggae and dancehall from a female&rsquo-s perspective. I love everything from Beenie Man to Shaggy to Jimmy Cliff but I know it would be cool to have a female tell her story... with the right vocal attitude and killer lyrics.
