Andrew Tosh

Jamaican singer Andrew Tosh carries on the legacy and music of his late father, reggae pioneer Peter Tosh. With a top-notch band and some of reggae's greatest songs to draw on, Andrew presents a conscious concert of Jah music. Additionally, Andrew's uncle is Bunny Wailer, like Peter Tosh a founding member of reggae's most heralded band, the Wailers (along with the late Bob Marley); his mother is Shirley Livingstone, Bunny's sister.

From his birth in Kingston in 1967, Andrew Tosh was surrounded by reggae's greatest musicians. At 18, he made his first recording, "Vanity Love." When Peter Tosh was gunned down in 1985, Andrew determined to carry on his father's work, singing "Equal Rights" at his father's funeral service. Since then, with a voice that sounds close to his father's Andrew has recorded several albums, and in concert features his own songs, those of his father, and occasionally Wailers and Bob Marley songs.
