Dub The Earth

Dub the earth formed back in the early 80s the original line up- Drums-Lynn: Bass-Fred (went on to be RDF original bass player): Guitar-Dion & Austin: Keyboards-Luap (went on to be RDF original keyboard player): Percussion-Jim. With frequent vocal by Steve Swann (Military Surplus: Revolutionary Dub Warriors) and Ital Malk. After Fred and Luap left for RDF the roll of keyboard player was taken up by first Richard Patterson (Military Surplus: Revolutionary Dub Warriors) then by Giles before for the last ten years Emma. The roll of bass player was for a time filled by a combination of Steve Swann and Ital Malk until Dion moved over to playing bass and Dan Foster was recruited on guitar. At present you can add a new keyboard player Matty Mann and percussion and decks Bullet. Others worth a mention in the Dub the Earth history- Darren: Vic: Jim blim: Paul: Christian: Phil: Kathy: Chris and Karen. The main exposure Dub the Earth got was on the free festival circuit of the late 80s and early 90s. By the mid to late 90s they had also played festivals like Glastonbury: Womad and the Kingston green fair. In the last years of the 1900s and first few of 2000 the band only done studio work: mainly here at Earthsounds: recording as Dub the Earth and also under the name True Earthers. As thier children grow the band started back gigging after a gap of 8 years.
