Boo Boo Vibration

Boo Boo VIBRATION is an overwelming reggae band formed in Bologna in 1999. The prerogative of the band is to play strictly original songs in italian english and salentino dialect. 2001 - after a year of gigs that consolidated the line up: the guys entered the studio for the making of the first demo cd Loneliness recorded at BZ RECORDS studio in Ferrara. This demo passed the selection for the ROTOTOM SUNSPLASH: the biggest reggae festival in Italy: and opened the gates for the band to make new contacts all over Italy and abroad. Ljubljana - Slovenia was the first foreign place where BBV performed: shearing the stage with MAD PROFESSOR and MACKA-B. 2002 as they ended touring: the time was come to make a complete record so the band decided to selfproduce BAOBAB: eleven tracks of eclectic reggae music that ranges from roots to rock steady: from lovers style to old school dub. This work was very well received by critics: an important new page of -reggae made in Italy- could be written in Bolognaa cd of great quality and social issues lyrics -during the summer BBV promoted Baobab in many important festivals like: ROTOTOM SUNSPLASH 2002 (Italy): SOCA REGGAE RIVERSPLASH (Slovenija): FONDATION REGGAE FESTIVAL (Spain) 2003 - the touring continues with: among the others: the SEASPLESH FESTIVAL (Croatia) and PRZYSTANEK WOODSTOCK (Poland) facing more then 100.000 enthusiastic people. With this experiences the BBV live performance is growing into a burning energy interacting with the public. In september of the same year the group gets to the finals of the TIM-tour: plays on the Piazza Duomo in Milan and participates to a few TV-shows of ROCKTV. 2004/2005 in may BBV release a five track EP COMPLICE mixed by Ohm guru: for SANARECORDS and distributed by AUDIOGLOBE. This album reveals the intention of the band to experiment a more contemporary kind of sound - a mixture of New roots and Dancehall style that anticipates the direction BBV are taking. The real new thing was inserting a DJ sound on cd and live performance. A more intense (year and half) tour followed all over Italy to confirm the bands activity and to spread the BOOBOO Vibe for those who didnt heard it yet. The summer ended and so did the live gigin but the Boo Boo VIBRATION are not resting. It is the time for a new: mature and high-energy sound research that will reveal the real nature of the booboo vibe.
