My earliest influence into reggae music was around the age of 10 or11 years old: thru my big brother Joseph. He used to play Rasta Man vibration album by Bob Marley. I remember when he turned up with original rockers album by augustus Pablo. I was so fascinated with the whole thing from the music to the cover design: I use to love to read the credits and look at the artwork whilst listening to the album: and it was all part of the vibes. As a teenager I used to listen to all the local sounds in my area: east London. I remember one night when I was 15: I followed my brother to Cubies: a night club in Dalston: london. That night there was a dance with Jah Shaka sound and a sound called Quaker City sound: but Quaker never turned up. Everything changed- I heard a new experience of roots dubwise wich changed my perception of music and sound system wich has been a major influence in my life ever since. It was like a spiritual connection. I started making music from the age of 18: my first instrument was a bass guitar witch was given to me by a brethren called Jah Lenny. Lenny taught me how to play and slowly I learned to play other instruments by attending jam sessions that were held in the local youth centres. I linked up with a brethren called Blacka of Vibes Studio and that is when I started putting dubs together multi track style. I did a lot of work for Jah Warrior: in those days: among other sounds. My first release on Black Legacy Records was a 7 called Warning voiced by Tenastelin. Tena and I went on to do many other works including the album Take a look at the world wich was released in 1993. I also released the album Mental Slavery with an artist called Naphtali: a great talent. However: we never pursued any more releases.there are also several singles released on black legacy records i.e african blood:dongeons of babylon.simple man:his foundation.COMMING SOON on black legacy records: WAR OF ATTRITION 10\ Keety Roots:HIS MAJESTY:10\"\"" Tenastelin:RIOTS:12\""\""carlton livingstone.keety roots production.also look out for keety roots album in the near future.
