Quba Libre

The newest explosion of bilingual Latin: Reggae and Hip-Hop: Qba Libre was formed in Miami: Fl in 2000. The group members consist of two Cuban male’s known as Qba (Cuba): born Jezuz Alexander & Akuma: born Eduardo Pineiro. The 23yr old: Jezuz Alexander AKA Qba a Cuban college basketball player from Miami was raised by a single mother: who at the age of sixteen she had to quit school and give birth to Jezuz “Qba.” Prior to giving birth to her only child Jezuz “Qba” his father was incarcerated. It was tough growing up with a single mother. At times she had nowhere to turn but she still stayed positive no matter the cost. She did everything possible no matter what to put a roof over our head and food on the table. Jezuz “Qba” learned as much as possible having to grow up at a young age: hustling at all cost and staying focused for school. Basketball and music allowed him to escape from all the temptations and negative surroundings. With the burden of never meeting his father he struggled and surpassed all obstacles with the intensions of becoming someone who is going to make a difference not only as an Artist but as a man & person. After spending 21 years in Miami and performing in small clubs: private parties and events: he eventually moved to Los Angeles to further his music and basketball career. During his first month of moving to LA he was introduced to a fellow bilingual artist knowing as Akuma: born Eduardo Pineiro: a Cuban/Guatemalan. Eduardo “Akuma” has been known in the hip-hop and Latin underground for a decade now. Akuma was raised in LA & moved to Florida for a few years then returned to LA to continue his music as well. Akuma has been in the industry rapping for ten years and has preformed all over the world. The Cubans from both sides of the cost: south and west: provide some of the newest flavor in this Hispanic movement. Qba Libre began cutting tracks with a different array of talented producers.
