Dubwise

Dubwise is a roots rock and reggae band from Jacksonville: FL. Their sound is heavily influenced by Lee Scratch\ Perry: the Mad Professor and other Dub pioneers: while incorporating elements of the new school. Hip hop: Breakbeats: Drum and Bass/Jungle: and Ragga all have made their marks on their music. The lyrics have fi be CONSCIOUS though! This is where the roots take hold and drive their politically and socially charged music into the stratosphere. Dubwise feels there is no harder music than conscious music: no matter what style one chooses to play. Dubwise has been rocking the house since 1994: when songwriter/guitarist/singer Dubwiser began churning tracks out of his basement studio/lab in St. Louis: MO. In the early days he was at a loss for other musicians with the same interests: so he picked up on the bass guitar: the keyboard: and even drums.
