Sofla Kingz

Miami was not generally known for its musical talent. This was the land of over-sped samples: booty and rap music…right? Nothing but beautiful beaches: the hottest spring breaks across the globe and very exotic women for miles at a time…Right? WRONG! There is currently a huge fountain over flowing with talent right here in our very own backyard. Welcome to Sofla: (short for South Florida) where it is hot: sunny and muggy all year round. It is also the home of the SOFLA KINGZ. You know…SOFLA KINGZ mix tapes: Volumes 1 thru 31/2: which have sold 5000 copies of each. In addition to their famous mix tapes: the SOFLA KINGZ dropped the Loitering Album in January 2005 which has sold over 3:000 units in the streets of the city that bears there name. Rapping for over 10 years: the boys have acquired skills to compete in today’s Hip-Hop marathon. Alex Diaz known as “Bombillo”: and Guillermo Alfonso known as “TropyCo” have done there fair share of paying dues when it comes to the music industry. Now you can find them in most clubs: festivals and along the streets of South beach. It is unknown to many that back in 98’ they almost signed a huge deal with Warner Bros but didn’t see eye to eye with the labels vision of what they truly believe is Southern Latin Hip-Hop is and what they want it to continue being. They opted not to sign with the now defunct production camp and instead went on their own. Through hard work and many hours dedicated to the passion for music: they have finally reached one of their goals. Acquiring some equipment: they created a studio called Lemonhead Studios where they plan to continue the musical movement that is currently launching Miami into the forefront of the rap game. The SOFLA KINGZ have expanded tremendously in their music as well as their entrepreneur areas. They created SOFLA KINGZ Entertainment where they are known for incredible parties and promotional events. They were the first to organize the Best of Both Worlds New Year Eve Party in South Beach. They have done numerous jingles/commercials for radio stations and college radio. In the streets of SOFLA you are sure to find them in their eye catching wrapped cars. A 1971 Impala 2 door wrapped in blue and white colors and a 1973 Impala station wagon wrapped with Caribbean flags and their faces displayed proudly on the side of the vehicle. The cars have been featured with enormous success in 2 low-rider shows in Miami and Tampa Florida. All majors be careful: these boulevard prophets are independent and they don’t care about a deal anymore. They are now enjoying being known: recognized: heard and without a doubt taking the music industry by a storm.
