Growing up Chil's older brothers would listen to the Beatles, Santana, Kiss, Led Zeppelin and his sisters would listen to Earth Wind & Fire, Cameo, Ohio Player's and The Jackson 5. This helped Chil learn how to enrich his voice into what it is today. I would like to tell you that this awesome, loving, crazy, phenomenal voice of Chil's started professionally at the age of thriteen in nightclubs. Chil has played from backyards to rooftops, clubs, boats, warehouses and parking lots everywhere in between.

Sept 2000 CHIL performed in Dana Point, with SHAGGY, GREGORY ISAACS, DAVE WAKELING (front man of GENERAL PUBLIC & ENGLISH BEAT), BARRINGTON LEVY, BIG MOUNTAIN. Back in 1996 CHIL wrote a song for Junior Seau, football star of the NFL San Diego Chargers and the Miami Dolphins. This song was featured on the Charger Cheerleaders video. Chil was invited on the Reggae Makossa Show live on 9lXfm (Sept. 10th 2000) and his song "When Butterfly Meets Dragon" was played days before his big show opening for SHAGGY. CHIL was live on 91.l fm also known as 91X Feb 5th 2001. CHIL performed at DON HO'S "ISLAND GRILL" in Oahu, Hawaii April, 28th 2001 for his U-B-6 I-B-9 TOUR. CHIL was live on FM100 in HONOLULU, HAWAII April. 27th and was aired for a week prior to his first headline show in Hawaii, the show was SOLD OUT. Chil performed live at the Del Mar Fair June 16th 2001, hosted by 9lXfm. In 1998-99 he played at "The Whiskey A GoGo", "Coconut Teaser" and "14 below". CHIL opened up for Dave Wakeling at the club "Hogue Barmichaels".
