Jah Free

Jah Free. . has been involved in reggae music for more than 20 years man an man. Firstly in a band called Tallowah which later became Bushfire. Both bands came from the Southend/Basildon area and during their 12 year existence, Jah Free set up & run Rainbow Studio, recording/rehearsal studio that dealt with all comers, Reggae To Jazz. . 60's to Punk, this gave a wide musical education which spilled over to mixing live bands at a local youth centre, called The Roundacre twice weekly, this period lasted about 5 years, these encounters gave him the skills he would later need, but no music reached as deep as his beloved reggae. After Bushfire had dis banded, he brought an 8 track machine and mixing desk, and a Viola Jah Free Music was born. He started to play his music on sound system, Revelation being the first, he played from cassette, Revox 2 track, D.A.T & mini disc.

He has supported the Mad professor on numerous occasions & Zion Train many more work with many more including Bim Sherman, Iration Steppa, Vibronics Jah Shaka & supported the legendary Lee Perry in Brighton. Guest appearances at many Festivals. . Glastonbury (for over 10yrs).. Two Sevensclash/Amsterdam. Summer Jam/Germany. Lowlands/Holland.. Time to Seed Czech republic.Istria in reggae/Croatia. .and this year..Riversplash/Slovenia..Seasplash/Croatia and many more .. <P>
Jah Free always carries his music & m.d. player wherever he goes just in case of a chance play out. <P>
