U.K. REGGAE SINGER/SONGWRITER, PATO BANTON AND THE NEW GENERATION BAND TO
PERFORM AT HARLOWS IN SACRAMENTO ON WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 11
Pato Banton and the New Generation Band will perform at Harlows in
Sacramento on Wednesday, November 11. Tickets are $15 advance and $20 at the

Born and raised in Birmingham, England, Pato was introduced to music as an
MC in his stepfather¹s traveling reggae disco sound-system act. At a very
young age, he was already mixing records and ³toasting² (fast Jamaican
rapping to a heavy beat.) While establishing a strong, local following and
reputation, he caught the ear of the English Beat¹s Ranking Roger, who took
young Pato under his wing and pushed him into becoming a musical performer
in his own right and expanding his sights beyond Birmingham. It paid off.
With the release of his first two albums – ³Never Give In² and ³Vision
Of the World², Pato¹s status began to blossom around the world. Two
subsequent studio records, ³Universal Love² and ³Wize Up² combined with
constant touring firmly entrenched him as a musical force to be reckoned
with.
Although Pato has always had major success in the United States (album
sales and touring), he is a bona fide megastar in Europe and South America,
selling over 3,000,000 albums and headline stadium tours. His fifth
studio album ³Stay Positive² spurred the Top 5 UK single, ³Groovin¹.²
His most recent release, ³Life Is A Miracle² is the culmination of a
four-year writing and recording process that blends reggae, hip-hop and
dance.
Pato¹s goal has always been to bring Positivity to the masses around the
world.

has been an evolutionary adventure of many ups and downs, but through it all
