BG Benton

Benton Grant aka BG was born in the parish of St Mary on the island of Jamaica. He started singing at the age of 9 while listening to his father's A-Track player. He grew up listening to Fax Domino, Nat King Cole, various country artists and Brook Benton, with Benton being the origin of his first name. Brook Benton is actually his favorite singer with "Endlessly" being one of his top tracks of all time. He started going to church at the age of 12, and quickly became known as one of the best singers in the organization after singing and playing music for only a short period of time. Everyone in the community said that his quick rise was due to his strong passion and love for music. He grew up listening to Bob Marley and Garnett Silk, with Garnett Silk becoming one of his favorite singers of all time because he had a soul for the music and it showed everytime he sang.

His passion for music is unmatched, and he intends to be one of the greatest singers to ever grace the stage and will do that with Gods help. He composes all of his music, sings in diverse styles, and is determined to continue until he accomplishes what God has set him out to do. He has always place God first and asks for his guidance and strength on a daily baisis. Some of his work are narrative and have various meanings, so the listener has to pay close attention to the lyrics to understand the concept. He hopes to bring back some stability to reggae music so that the older generation can enjoy it once again. His style can be definied as conscious, positive, and intellectual.

Look out for his new singles Senorita, Raponzel and Love Me. He is also in the studio working on a new track about slain NYC resident Sean Bell, as well as songs titled Give Thanks, and Lost Friends.
