Undah Privilege
<p>With his powerfully distinct voice, unique style and conscious lyrics, Courtney Skankkin better known as Undah Privilege has established himself as one of the leading and favored reggae rapper/chanter and singer in Northern California. Born in Kingston Jamaica, Courtney began his musical career in 1979 with the group Creative Source, receiving his mentorship from Errol Scorpion.</p>
<p>In a role as "artist-as-priest", Undah Privilege communicates music and life flowing together as one action; and his universal views and experience did not come by accident. During his tour of duty while in the U.S. Navy, Undah P was able to perform in several different countries including Japan, the Philippines, and the remote U.S. Islands of Hawaii.</p>
<p>With the same pulse and heat of his home island Jamaica, Undah Privilege has "nice-up" sessions with for several night spots such as the popular Karribean City in Oakland, formally known as the Caribee Dance Center. He has performed and toured with many of the Reggae band and sound systems in the Bay Area such as Vibes International Sound System, and Dub Addxx.</p>
<p>Undah Privilege has also worked on studio projects with Rankin Scroo & Ginger; Money B of Raw Fusion and Digital Underground to create a song entitled "Donâ??t Test"; and has collaborated DJ Fuze and Money B of Raw Fusion on their latest album "Hoochiefied Funk"</p>
<p>In addition to his musical career, in the new millennium Undah Privilege began an acting career. He was featured in the movies, Rude Boy, Gangsta Paradise, and Straight Out. He has produced the following three albums, the "Saga Continues", "Jack D Jacka" and "Ghetto Bible" all releases feature Undah Privilege singing lead vocals. He is the originator of "Six Million Ways to Die" on the famous Cutty Ranks track.</p>
