Mighty Mystic

Mighty Mystic is the most sensational artiste to emerge on the Reggae scene within the last 10 years. He is now one of the brightest rising stars in the dancehall and culture genres. Mystic&rsquo-s energetic and charismatic style has made him a favorite with live audiences: as well as Reggae and urban radio stations. Mystic&rsquo-s tunes are notable favorites among the hot choices being spun in clubs today. 2003-2004 In 2003 Mystic teamed up with chart toppers Tanto Metro &amp- Devonte to release the single &ldquo-Been So Long.&rdquo- The song quickly charted on College and Commercial radio and was the impetus for Mystic&rsquo-s next release: &ldquo-Black People Anthem:&rdquo- which was received as one of Jamaica&rsquo-s most uplifting roots hits in 2004. This caught the attention Willie Daniels: Director of A&amp-R at VP Records who then featured &ldquo-Fire in Your Eyes&rdquo- on their 2004 &ldquo-All Out&rdquo- rhythm. The selection received great reviews in the press and garnered Mystic national exposure. Mystic was also featured on the Greensleeves release of the &ldquo-Red Alert&rdquo- rhythm (7inch) with his song titled &ldquo-Red Alert.&rdquo- He ended 2004 with the VP Records release off of the &ldquo-Check it Back&rdquo- rhythm with his song titled &ldquo-Make it Last (Bump: Bump).&rdquo-Mystic&rsquo-s achievements in 2004 were crystallized when Jamaica news magazine: The X-News dubbed him &ldquo-The Simmering Volcano who is about to explode.&rdquo- 2005 In 2005 Mighty Mystic and New England&rsquo-s Split2nd Entertainment joined forces to produce his up-coming debut album &ldquo-Wake up the World.&rdquo- Mystic has since released the album&rsquo-s first two singles- &ldquo-Treat her Right&rdquo- and &ldquo-Riding on The Clouds.&rdquo- Both tracks have been widely successful and have served to position Mystic as a Mighty force to be reckoned with. &ldquo-Treat Her Right&rdquo- was a top 5 reggae track on mix show and specialty radio. The tune was also the second most played song on college radio in 2005 and received play on over fifty commercial stations.It was subsequently featured on the Cornerstone mix tape along with three volumes of X-Mix: and over forty mix tapes worldwide. This success culminated in the Treat Her Right tour which has earned Mystic a loyal fan base nationwide. The second single: &ldquo-Riding on the Clouds&rdquo- is now the most recognizable Reggae track in New England. It held the number one spot for ten weeks on Boston&rsquo-s premier reggae radio show: WERS &ldquo-Rockers&rdquo- 88.9: and was concurrently a top ten hit on the Jamaican charts. The single is currently being played on several of New England&rsquo-s most popular stations including Boston&rsquo-s WJMN 94.5: Hartford&rsquo-s WZMX and WPHH: Maine&rsquo-s WRED: Providence&rsquo-s WWKX. The success of &ldquo-Riding on the Clouds&rdquo- has lead Mystic and his Record Label Split2nd Entertainment to release a music video which can be viewed on local access TV stations and Internet sites such as www.youtube.com and www.myspace.com/mightymystic. 2006 Mighty Mystic delivered an awe inspiring performance at New England&rsquo-s Summer Jam 2006: which featured the likes of Sean Paul and Mary J Blige. This highlight event allowed Mystic to showcase his skills alongside some of the industry&rsquo-s best. In November of 2006 &ldquo-Wake up the World&rdquo- volume 2 (prequel to album) the mix tape was released. This catalog features some of today&rsquo-s hottest recording artists: DJ&rsquo-s and guest hosts. One of the break-out tracks off of the mix tape is a song titled &ldquo-Better Times&rdquo- which can be heard echoing from systems all over. &ldquo-Wake up the World:&rdquo- the album: is set to be released early 2007. This album is comprised of Dancehall: and Culture selections: to satisfy the palate of both audiences. On December 8: 2006 Mighty Mystic won the prestigious Joe Higgs &ldquo-Cool Operator&rdquo- Rising Star Award. Joe Higgs was influential in launching the career of the late great Bob Marley.
