TRUMYSTIC is a 7 piece live dub alliance, on the cutting edge of modern music. With vocalist Kirsty Rock at the helm (as heard on Dub Side of the Moon) partnered with bassist and cofounder Reggie Hodges (High Fidelity Dub Sessions #3), drummer, David Delgado (Yami Bolo, Marcia Griffith), resident
sound scientist, Dept. of Dub, and accompanied by guitar, organ and horns, they deliver a ridiculously skilled and exciting musical experience.
In 2002 they released the sonically lush album, Current Master, on TMG Records. The band followed the release with an intensive tour across the United States, with over 100 performances in 2003 alone. In addition, TRUMYSTIC contributed to the highly acclaimed Dub Side of the Moon, a reggae interpretation of Pink Floydâ¬"s 1977 classic album, which received five star ratings across the board, and stayed on Billboard charts for 48 consecutive weeks. Kirsty Rockâ¬"s powerful handling of â¬SThe Great Gig in the Skyâ¬ý has drawn high praise from Clare Torry, the songâ¬"s original vocalist.
Before the end of 2003, the band recorded the single â¬SStand Upâ¬ý, TRUMYSTICâ¬"s first collaboration with the most influential Dub producer of the last two decades, Mad Professor, who added his stamp of excellence to Dub Power.
TRUMYSTIC spent 2004 performing over 150 shows nationally, including a 2 week run with dub master Mad Professor live mixing the band, in support of their collaboration.
TRUMYSTIC has now embarked on a year long national tour to push out the sound of their epic release. As Dub Power hits the streets so does TRUMYSTIC.....
